Ghana Study Abroad Spring 2007

Dr. Senyo Adjibolsoo, Professor of Economics in the Fermanian School of Business,  spent his sabbatical semester (Spring '07) in the city of Akatsi, Ghana.  He and two International Development Studies students worked with school children there.  They set up a library and a computer lab at the Human Factor Leadership Academy using books and equipment donated by friends, collegues at PLNU and church members here in the San Diego area.  They also were involved in teaching, tutoring, mentoring and developing friendships with the numerous children who come to the center after school.

Dr. Adjibolosoo has been in communication with local educators and hosted several very well attended leadership seminars.  He hopes to provide these dedicated people a resource through the Academy and through his own experiences and education.  This trip saw the establishment of the Human Factor Leadership Academy and the purchase of a large tract of land which will be the future site of a kindergarten through college campus for the youth of this area.
