Thank you for your interest in the Fermanian School of Business. I hope you will be able to find the information you are seeking and will also get some idea of what we hope to accomplish here.

We believe we are stewards, given a responsibility, for some incredible assets entrusted to us by the University, our friends, and the Lord. We have recently moved into a high-tech state-of-the-art new building located on the south end of the campus overlooking the Pacific.

We have assembled an outstanding group of individuals, faculty and staff, to assist our stakeholders to improve and make an impact on the world. We have been given stewardship of a diverse set of students who are studying and working around the world, next door, and in multiple organizational settings and capacities to impact the lives of those around them.

Our mission is: “To Provide the World, Business Leaders with Christ-like Character” and we take it very seriously and have focused our attention in three areas of emphasis.

• You will find Academic Excellence at every level of the Fermanian School. Excellence is the standard for scholarship and teaching for every member of our community. We are attempting to bring together the latest theories and the best practices.
• You will find Integrated Values throughout our programs. It is our goal to have what we say we believe equal what we do. Therefore we strive to align values with action by being an intentional community that focuses upon the building of character with integrity.
• You will find an Active Engagement with our stakeholders. The Fermanian School is not just a new classroom building but an engagement with the business community in San Diego, the West, and the world. We believe service is an expression of our faith and our discipline.

It is our prayer that our stakeholders will find this emphasis in each of our four program areas

• The undergraduate business program with degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, International Development Studies, and Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
• The Masters of Business Administration program designed as a rigorous academic program that is also convenient for students who already have full lives.
• The Fermanian Business Center, a bridge to the business world that connects students with business and business with the faculty, staff, and students in an environment that is beneficial to all.
• The Armenian Center for International Development. The Center was envisioned to focus the principles of business to help the developing world.

We serve the Lord and seek to be good stewards of His grace to us and through us. We understand we are a business school and responsible for the preparation of our product, students who are successful in the world because of the quality of their education and the development of their character as a child of Christ. In this way we seek to be what our motto suggests, “More Than the Bottom Line: Business Education to Change the World.”
