Welcome Parent and Graduate Student Borrowers For parent(s)/stepparent(s) who are interested in a Federal PLUS Loan for their dependent PLNU student or students pursuing a graduate degree.
- Previous PLUS borrowers should re-apply with the same lender on the lender's website . When applying please provide your lender with the amount requested.
- New PLUS borrowers will be apply for their loan online and complete the PLUS Master Promissory using e-signature. A link to "PLUS Lender List" is provided below.
- Apply with one lender only. Applying with multiple lenders will affect your credit.
- Approval of the loan application is based on the borrower's credit worthiness.
- If your Parent PLUS application is declined, your student may come to the Student Financial Services Office and apply for additional Unsubsidized Stafford Loan.
- Graduate PLUS borrowers must borrow all of their Stafford eligibility prior to applying for this loan. Please contact your Regional Center SFS Office regarding eligibility if you would like to apply for this loan.
- If there are any questions regarding your application, please contact your chosen lender.
Interest rates, repayment terms, and other federally regulated loan provisions are the same for every lender. However, there are differences in service levels, technology, and repayment incentives. It is best to continue with the same lender each year for ease in maintaining loan records and to avoid multiple monthly payments. The following lenders are committed to providing the highest level of service to our borrowers.
