Academic Awards for Continuing Students

(Students Enrolled Before Fall 2006)


President’s and Trustee’s Scholarships

(Full and Half Tuition)
The President’s and Trustee’s Scholarships are renewable annually with a cumulative GPA of 3.500 (not rounded), calculated at the end of the fall semester. The student’s cumulative GPA will be re-evaluated at the end of each subsequent fall semester. This award will be given for a maximum of 10 semesters.

National Merit Scholarships

National Merit Finalists is renewable annually with a cumulative GPA of 3.500 (not rounded), calculated at the end of the fall semester. The student’s cumulative GPA will be re-evaluated at the end of each subsequent fall semester. This award will be given for a maximum of 10 semesters.

Provost’s Scholarship

The Provost’s Scholarship is renewable annually with a cumulative GPA of 3.400 (not rounded), calculated at the end of the fall semester. The student’s cumulative GPA will be re-evaluated at the end of each subsequent fall semester. This award will be given for a maximum of 10 semesters.

Second Chance Provost’s Scholarship

Students who did not qualify for any academic awards at the time they were admitted to PLNU, but have subsequently demonstrated academic achievement, may be eligible for a Provost's scholarship of $4,000 under the Second Chance Program. Details of the scholarship and application form are available at the Student Financial Services (SFS) office.

Bresee Grant

The Bresee Grant is renewable annually with a cumulative GPA of 3.200 (not rounded), calculated at the end of the fall semester. The student’s cumulative GPA will be re-evaluated at the end of each subsequent fall semester. This award will be given for a maximum of 10 semesters and is available to students who continue to demonstrate financial need.

Science Honors’ Scholarships

Science Honors' Scholarship is renewable annually with a cumulative GPA of 3.500 (not rounded), calculated at the end of the fall semester. The student’s cumulative GPA will be re-evaluated at the end of each subsequent fall semester. This award will be given for a maximum of 10 semesters.
