Application checklist:
1. Complete Graduate application form* 2. Complete essays on the following topics:
a. Describe your reason for enrolling in the graduate program in general biology and indicate professional goals for the next 5 years. b. Explain why you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in a Christian setting, and how this relates to your classroom teaching. 3. Request 2 confidential letters of recommendation:
a. one from your current principal, assistant principal, or department head b. one from a former college/university professor Please have letters sent directly to PLNU. Get Recommendation PDF Form* 4. Request transcripts from EACH college/university attended. Transcripts must reflect an earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. Please have transcripts sent directly to PLNU. 5. Take the Major Field Test in biology on PLNU’s campus - contact the program director at dianneanderson@pointloma.edu. The exam cost is $25.00. To view content areas on the test, go to ETS A score on the GRE subject test in biology less than 7 years old may be substituted. 6. Provide proof of your teaching credential (if applicable) 7. Submit thirty-five ($35) dollar non-refundable application fee with your application, essays, and proof of credential to PLNU at the address below. Please make check or money order payable to “Point Loma Nazarene University” 8. Schedule a faculty interview after all application materials have been submitted. 9. Applications due April 15, 2008 for summer 2008.
