Ryan Library's goal is to provide the PLNU community with the resources and skills needed for successful research. Phineas is our on-line catalog to locate books and other materials. The circulation system requires a bar-coded student ID or library card to check out materials. Checkout guidelines follow:
- Regular circulating materials check out for three weeks
- Materials may be renewed once, unless requested by another library user
- Overdue material is charged at $1.00 per day
- Materials placed on reserve for specific classes are checked out from the Circulation Desk. These materials are subject to hourly and daily overdue fines
Electronic databases help users locate and access magazine and journal articles. Interlibrary loans and courier services are available to obtain materials not found in the Ryan Library. The LINK+ lending consortium allows PLNU students to search for and request books from member libraries throughout California. Books are delivered by courier in 3 to 5 days without charge to the student. Participating LINK+ libraries also provide PLNU students with visiting patron rights, which allow checkout of books at those libraries using your PLNU ID card. Photocopy machines and microform printers are located within the library. Copies cost $.05 Ryan Library Hours
