We offer various opportunities for intentional Christian transformation. Whether you join a small group, retreat, Film Forum or various other forums, we invite you to seek God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength…and to find Him faithful!

These small groups commit to meet on a weekly basis to develop friendships rooted in Jesus Christ, and to grow spiritually in an environment of love and encouragement as we participate in the reading of the Word, prayer and the sharing of life together in Christ.
Men’s & Women’s Retreat
These retreats are designed for students, staff and faculty to come together and build relationships with one another outside the university setting. This is a great time to gather for worship, Biblical teaching, prayer, spiritual nourishment, fellowship and fun!
Spiritual Formation Retreats
These retreats will be offered once a semester at a nearby retreat center. As we focus on various spiritual disciplines, our format will be relaxed and speaker/discussion oriented with guided and extended silent prayer times.
Film Forum
The greatest human and spiritual truths are embodied in good stories. Much like the Biblical narrative, the very nature of film (today’s most popular art form) is story and always invites the viewers to a response. PLNU’s Film Forum is an opportunity for us to view and discuss how human nature and spiritual realities are shown through the film’s plot, symbols, acting and so forth. Our hope is to raise awareness of the importance of our own stories, both corporately and individually, and to awaken a critical consciousness for this medium in order to be better able to use it toward spiritual formation.
Prayer Path
Once a semester we will offer the Prayer Path – a room full of various interactive prayer stations where you will be guided to pray for circumstances or people in your life that come to mind. The Prayer Path is powerful because it is a time to speak to God, & rest in His presence. The Women's Forum series was designed to offer
graduating female seniors creative, informative, and wise advice gathered together and presented by various faculty, staff and alumni members.
These forums were developed out of a desire to help create a smoother and more informed transition for the students as they move on to the next stage of their journey. Throughout the spring semester, we will offer eight forums that include the following topics:
- What Does a Woman Look Like?
- Sustaining Life-Long Friendships, Dating & the Single Life
- Relationships: Sexuality, Marriage and Motherhood
- Finances: A Husband Is Not a Financial Plan
- Ambition & Vocation
- Healthy Living
- Maintaining a Spiritual Life
