Our desire is to build cross-cultural understanding, appreciation, and unity in the PLNU community. This is accomplished by supporting students of diversity and building connections with the university at large. Much of what we do is under the banner of MOSAIC (Multi-cultural opportunities for students actively involved in community), which includes The Association of Latino Students (ALAS), ASU, Asian Student Union, SSJ, Brothers and Sisters United (BSU), Hui o’Hawaii, International Club, and Team Barnabas (group of students who reach out to incoming students of diversity). The overall experience, growth, and success of individuals, and building the unity of the body of Christ are the themes that drive our programs. Our current programs are listed below: Diversity Leadership Scholarship: Supports students of diversity who desire to make an impact on the PLNU campus by getting involved in leadership. M.O.S.A.I.C. (Multicultural Opportunities for Students Actively Involved in Community) –This umbrella organization supports PLNU’s students of diversity groups through unified activities. Throughout the school year there will be numerous meetings and activities for each club, and larger group events including MOSAIC dinners, beach BBQs, social outings, Christmas and Graduation banquets. Team Barnabas: This is a group of continuing students whose mission is to connect with and encourage first-time freshmen. PLNU is excited to welcome students from all over the world. Attending a university is tough enough, but doing so in a new country, particularly in a new language, can be overwhelming.
