Wilderness at Heart
(For Sophomores, Juniors and Senior men). Located in Wiley Unit L – 8 spaces)
The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD; Make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:3 Men who are interested in the outdoors and seeking God’s heart in the wild places are welcome to join this unique learning community in Wiley Hall 2007-2008. Wilderness at Heart will combine both the love of God and love for being in the outdoors with other like minded brothers. Participants will engage in various outdoor activities including rock climbing, surfing, backpacking, and community service. We welcome everyone from outdoor guides to those that just love being outside. The only requirements are that you are physically fit (physical activity is required); willing to give up your TV and video games, can commit a portion of your time and desire to know God. Students will work alongside faculty, staff and outdoor professionals in the field. The Wilderness at Heart experience will also have an intensive hike experience during the course of the year.
