As a political science major I was required to do a large amount of reading and writing on a regular basis. This helped me to prepare for job interviews, and specifically, the application process for Teach For America, which required a large amount of writing and processing information.
During my junior year at PLNU I studied abroad in East Africa. While there I learned to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds. This really helped me in moving to a new community and work with people from a different culture than my own.
There are many opportunities out there so it’s best to keep your options open. Do your best in whatever you are doing at the time. Be courteous and respectful to everyone because you can learn something from anyone.
