How To Back Up Data

Backing up of data is important in case your hard drive crashes, your data becomes corrupted by a virus, etc. The ResTechs will no longer be performing any type of data backup, so here are some instructions on how to back up your data to CDs/DVDs/other devices.

        1.    Insert Back-up Disk into your CD/DVD drive
        2.    Go to:

    • Start
    • All Programs
    • Accessories
    • System Tools
    • Backup

        3.    When the Wizard comes up click Next

    • All information on this computer

         8.    Once the Backup is complete remove the disk and write Backup on it and store it
in your laptop case or some place where you will be able to access it easily if
                needed.

NOTE: Your information may not all fit on one disk depending on how much you are backing up. You may need multiple disks.
