Backup Data

Backup Data Unknown (or inaccessible) property:CurrentPageVersion.PageID

Backing up of data is important in case your hard drive crashes, your data becomes corrupted by a virus, etc. The ResTechs will no longer be performing any type of data backup, so here are some instructions on how to back up your data to CDs/DVDs/other devices.


        1.    Insert Back-up Disk into your CD/DVD drive
        2.    Go to:

    • Start
    • All Programs
    • Accessories
    • System Tools
    • Backup

        3.    When the Wizard comes up click Next

        4.    Choose Back up files and settings

        5.    You can choose any one of the four options given to back up your files:

    • My documents and settings
    • Everyone’s documents and settings
    • All information on this computer
    • Let me choose what to back up

        6.    Choose a place to save your backup files:

    • Click Browse

    • Choose My Computer

    • Choose your CD/DVD Drive (usually Drive D: but in the examples it's the E: drive)

        7.    Click Next and the Click Finish to start the Backup.

         8.    Once the Backup is complete remove the disk and write Backup on it and store it 
                in your laptop case or some place where you will be able to access it easily if 
                needed.

NOTE: Your information may not all fit on one disk depending on how much you are backing up. You may need multiple disks.
