Spyware Protection

Spyware Protection Unknown (or inaccessible) property:CurrentPageVersion.PageID

Spyware and Adware are also malicious programs that install on your computer, slowing it down and eventually crashing it if not taken care of. Some can also access passwords and data the you want to keep protected. They don't however, spread from computer to computer like a virus. Here are some ways to protect your computer from Spyware and Adware:

NOTE: A company, such as a bank, will never send out an email asking for your
account number, password, social security number, etc. If you ever come
across an email like this (or a suspicious website) do not respond, delete it,
and if possible set it as junk email.

    • Control Panel
    • Network and Internet Connetions

Sometimes it may be necessary to turn off System Restore in order to delete or quarantine a really stubborn virus. Instructions can be found here. Please remember to turn System Restore back on when the virus is gone.
