Virus Protection

Virus Protection Unknown (or inaccessible) property:CurrentPageVersion.PageID

Viruses are malicious software that install on your computer and can spread to other computers. Some viruses won't do much damage, but others can cause your computer to crash and lose data. Here are some ways to protect your computer from viruses:

  • Download and run your antivirus software.
  • Update your antivirus software.

        SymUpdate

        3. Run a full computer virus scan.

        SymScan

        SymScanning

        4. Delete any viruses found and delete anything in the quarantine file.

        SymQuarantine

        5. If some of the viruses cannot be quarantined, go to Symantec's website
(www.symantec.com) and search for the virus to see how to remove it.

    • If you have the Trojan.Vundo virus download the Vundo Removal Tool by searching Symantec's website and typing in "Vundo Removal Tool" in the search box.

Sometimes it may be necessary to turn off System Restore in order to delete or quarantine a really stubborn virus. Please remember to turn System Restore back on when the virus is gone.

If you have any trouble or can't find the solution to the virus on your computer, call the ResTechs at x7378.
