my.pointloma.edu (Portal)


my.pointloma.edu is a password-protected Web site through which each member of the PLNU community can find information and Web-based functions appropriate for their particular roles within the University. The goal is to make this Portal your online "doorway" to everything PLNU offers.


Setting Up a Portal Account

  • Open my.pointloma.edu in your browser
  • Click Create Account on the left
  • Enter the requested information and click Continue to Step 2
  • Update your e-mail address and preferred first name; then click Continue to Step 3
  • Select a username, password, and an answer to a security question
  • Unless your account requires human approval, proceed to log in

Logging In

  • Type my.pointloma.edu in the address bar of your Internet browser; click Go
  • Enter your username and password where prompted just above the PLNU logo
  • Click the Login button

Important Areas of the Portal

  • Sections for each of your PLNU Roles (Employees, Students, Alumni, etc)
  • Personal Info - password, security questions, privacy settings, etc
  • General Links - these appear on every page

  • The Password tab allows you to sync the password of Point Loma’s primary systems
  • The Security Question tab allows you to set or change security questions
  • The Privacy Settings tab allows you to specify what contact information is visible to other logged-in users
  • The Biographical Info tab allows you to view your biographical information listed in the system
