Corporate Calling Cards

PLNU provides corporate calling cards with discounted rates for personnel who travel in the course of University business. Cards may be obtained by contacting Pat Curley (x2367), in the Office of Telecommunications. Monthly call detail is provided to the cardholder and calling card usage is billed back to the appropriate University department.

Calling Card Rates

Discounted rates listed below apply when personnel use the Qwest Calling Card, access number 800.860.4444.

For all calls placed and received within the U.S:

  • Per call setup charge: $0.25
  • Per minute rate: $.044
NOTE: International (Offnet) calls will be charged a higher rate.

Guidelines for Using Your Card

  • Your four digit PIN number may not be printed on your card.  Keep this number separately, in a safe place.  You may contact Pat Curley at x2367 if you forget your number.
  • If your PIN appears on your card, when you have it out shield your card from other eyes.
  • Keep your card in a safe place.
  • Do not use your calling card on campus. Use your long distance, authorization code instead.
  • Do not use your calling card, if your University-issued cell phone would be more economical.
  • Do not direct dial from Hotel phones unless you have no other choice. Generally it is the most expensive method of calling.
  • Be extremely careful when using your calling card in public locations. People make a living at "lifting" your card number and selling it to telephone immigrants to make international calls.
