Setting Up Your Voicemail Box
- Dial 7070 or, if you have a multi-line phone, press the Message button.
- Listen to the automated attendant; when prompted, enter PLNU1 (75681) as the temporary password.
- The system will prompt you to create your personal password.
- The system will prompt you to say your name.
- The system will prompt you to record a greeting.
Listening to Voicemail Messages
If the message light is flashing on your phone, lift the receiver and dial 7070 or press the Message button; if your phone does not have a message light, a new message will be indicated by a broken dial tone when you lift the receiver.
- When prompted, enter your personal password.
Note: If you are not at your own phone, or more than one voicemail box is attached to your phone, press the * key and enter your four-digit mailbox number; then enter your personal password.
- Press 1, 1 to listen to unheard messages.
- Follow the prompts at the end of a message to delete, save, reply, or forward a copy to another extension.
Changing an Existing Greeting
If you have inherited an existing extension, you may need to change the personal greetings.
- Listen to and erase any existing messages.
- At the main menu, press 4 to enter Personal Options.
- Press 3 to Record Greetings.
- - Press 1 to Change Your Personal Greeting.
- - Press 3 to Change your Recorded Name.
Forwarding Your Phone to another Extension or Voicemail
Multi-line Phone
- While the handset is in the cradle, press the Forward button (indicator is flashing).
- Dial the four-digit extension to which you are forwarding your phone (or 7070 for voicemail).
- Press the Forward button again (indicator is solid).
- To release the forward, press the button again (indicator is extinguished).
Single-line Phone
- Lift the handset.
- Press #, 1.
- Enter the four-digit extension (or 7070 for voicemail).
- Replace the handset.
- To release the forward, lift the handset, press # , 1, and hang up.
Note: When forwarding a single-line phone, place a note on the phone indicating the line has been forwarded.
