Phone/Phone Line

Q: What is included in my Phone Package?
A: Free local calls, call waiting, voice mail, and access to our long distance service are included in the basic phone service. For more detailed information, go to Telephone Services.

Q: How much does it cost to have the phone in my room turned on?
A: It’s on! It is free and there is no monthly charge. Phone service is included with each residence hall room or on-campus apartment.

Q: Are telephone instruments included with the service?
A: No. One student per room must bring a telephone. For more detailed information, go to Telephone Instrument.

Q: When will I find out my phone number?
A: This information should be in your NSO or returning student packet. If not, contact the Office of Telecommunications after you check-in and we will tell you your phone number.

Q: Do my roommate and I have access to separate phone lines?
A: No. There is one active phone jack per room. A second line activation would cost $10.00 to install and $19.00 per month.
