Credit Limit

Students have the responsibility of monitoring their telephone usage, however, a $150.00 credit limit is in effect to assist students with this task. The credit limit is based on the total to date of any unpaid balance and all unbilled calls. This limit is evaluated daily. The Office of Telecommunications has established the following policies:


 An effort will be made to notify the student when they are close to the limit, at which time the student should make a payment to reduce the amount owed below the established limit.
 
 An effort will be made to notify the student when their account is over the credit limit.

 The authorization code may be deactivated without prior notice when the credit limit is reached.

 The student's credit limit may be lowered due to bad credit, but may be reestablished with an entire semester of good credit.
 
 Credit limits may also be lowered by the student's request.
 
 Credit limit warning notification and account deactivation is a courtesy service and is not guaranteed.
 
 If the student's code should be deactivated, the student must inform the Telecommunications Office upon payment for immediate reactivation. Otherwise, reactivation may take 3-4 days.
