Security Policies
The
Office of Telecommunications has established the following
security policies
:
The student may accept or deny their authorization code by notifying the Office of Telecommunications within 30 days of issuance.
EACH STUDENT WILL HAVE A SPECIFIC CODE, WHICH SHOULD BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL. STUDENTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CALLS PLACED WITH THEIR CODE.
Students may not choose their own authorization code. All codes are selected randomly to better insure the security of the codes.
Once the student has accepted and used his/her code, it is assumed that the student understands the terms and policies listed here and he/she accepts responsibility for the use of the code.
If the code is forgotten or misplaced, the student must come into the Office of Telecommunications with a picture ID. Authorization codes may not be given over the phone.
There is no charge for issuance of an authorization code.
The student will be billed monthly for all long distance calls and directory information calls made using his/her authorization code.
