Residential Student Telephone Account Details

A telephone/voice mail account has been established for you under your ID#. This account includes confidential information such as your long distance calling code and voice mailbox#, along with your ID# and phone extension. To review your confidential data, login to Student Access and select the Biographical option .

WHAT IF YOUR ROOM OR PHONE INFORMATION IS INCORRECT?

IF YOUR CONFIDENTIAL DATA DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CORRECT ROOM OR PHONE NUMBER , our office did not receive complete information on your room assignment. This means that you will need to ask your Residential Director to update your information. After the update, Telecommunications will be able to associate your voice mailbox with your telephone extension so that callers may leave you a message.

USING YOUR CONFIDENTIAL DATA:

New students should have received the Residential Student Dialing and Voice Mail Instructions in their NSO packets. Extra pamphlets should be located at the residence hall box. Procedures for using authorization codes, dialing into voice mail and dialing instructions appear here and at http://hookup.ptloma.edu/handbook .

YOUR LONG DISTANCE CODE:

You will want to keep your 7-digit long distance authorization code confidential, since you are responsible and will be billed for any calls placed with this code. Please read the instructions and policies carefully and call x2432 if you have any questions. BY USING THE CODE TO PLACE LONG DISTANCE CALLS, YOU ARE ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR PAYMENT AND ACKNOWLEDGING THAT YOU UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES EXPLAINED IN OUR HANDBOOK.

YOUR MONTHLY PHONE BILL:

PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF OUR PAPERLESS BILLING. Your monthly telephone bill will not be mailed to you. Your telephone account will be billed each month for calls completed with your long distance code. You may view and print your bill and call detail online at Student Access by selecting the Phone Bill option . The first page with payment coupon must be printed and must accompany all payments. Payments are to be submitted to the Business Office.

Please call x2432 if you do not think your long distance code has been activated, if you need any help setting up your voice mail, or if you need the password on last year’s voice mail reset. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
