Service Restrictions

Students will be unable to place calls to "900" or "976" services.


STUDENTS ARE NOT TO ACCEPT COLLECT/THIRD PARTY CALLS!


PLNU has made every effort to block/prohibit these types of calls. However, due to the technical differences of telephone companies and long distance carriers across the country, it is not possible to guarantee 100% effectiveness. For this reason, if a student accepts a collect call, a $10.00 charge per call will be added to the students bill.


Fraud and Annoyance Calls


If a student is found to be misusing the services to make fraudulent calls or obtaining or attempting to obtain service with the intent to avoid charges, he/she will be subject to disciplinary action. The placing of an obscene or harassing phone call is a federal offense and will be turned over to Student Development for disciplinary action.


If a student connects to an adult information line via a toll free number or any other number, there will be a 20% or $10.00 surcharge placed on the call, whichever is greater. Also the Student Development Office may be notified for appropriate action.
