Jesse Abeler
Athletic Training, Chiropratic, CSCS
Jesse
first became interested in the athletic training because he likes
sports and the medical realm. Athletic training gives him the
opportunity to be active in both medicine and sports. What Jesse enjoys
most about the athletic training program is the interaction with high
school and collegiate level athletes. A career in chiropractic care is
Jesse's ultimate goal. As an athletic training student Jesse has had
the opportunity to intern with the San Diego Chargers and Rehab United
Physical Therapy.

Jen Boenau
Athletic Training
Jen
was an athlete in high school, that love and involvement in sports is
the reason that Jen chose the athletic training major. Some of the
aspects of the athletic training program that Jen enjoys are:
constantly learning new skills from her professors and peers, getting
to the know the athletes, and most importantly building life long
friendships with her peers. As an athletic training student at PLNU Jen
has had the opportunity to intern with the Chivas USA MLS soccer team.

Andrew Peters
Athletic Training/Education
Andrew
became interested in athletic training beause it was one way that he
could be close to athletics. Even though Andrew was not an athlete his
passion and knowledge of ahtletics is another reason he chose to enter
into the athletic training program at PLNU. As a student athletic
trainer Andrew enjoys the relationships he has been able to build with
the athletes and other athletic trainers. Over the summer Andrew spent
his time doing an internship with the Modesto Nuts (Colorado Rockies
minor league baseball affiliate).

Travis Stueve
Athletic Training
Travis'
interest in athletic training comes from his passion for the sport of
baseball. Travis knew that he wanted to work in the baseball arena but
did not know in which aspect until he came to PLNU. While at PLNU
Travis chose the athletic training major so that he could work in
baseball and keep the players healthy. As a result of Travis's hard
work with the PLNU baseball team he earned an internship with the San
Diego Padres.

Monica Stutzman
Athletic Training/Physical Therapy
Monica's
interest in athletic training was sparked by her own devistating
injuries (ACL and meniscal tears). While doing rehabilitation Monica
was exposed to "the whole world of orthopedics." Monica enjoys the
hands on experience and the close relationships she has developed with
not only the athetes but also her professors. Currently Monica is the
assistant athletic trainer at Bishop's High School and is in her second
year of internship with Rehab United Sports Medicine. Monica also has
experience in arena football (San Diego Riptide intern).

Julianne Toler Athletic Trainer
Julianne's
aspirations of becoming an athletic trainer began when she was in
high school. Jules enjoys the fact that " the PLNU athletic training
program offers a progressive education that develops her as a
professional through hands-on experience." She believes that she has
encountered some of most amazing people she will ever meet, this
includes her classmates, professors and student athletes. Julianne has
the oppritunity to be an intern for the Bakersfied Blitz Professional
Arena Football and is currently the athletic trainer for Southwest high
school

Shannon Tamisiea
Athletic Training
Shannon
first became interested in athetic training when she tore her ACL as a
sophomore in high school. She had the opportunity to work closely with
the athletic trainer at her high school, and knew his job was
definitley something she could see herself doing. Shannon enjoys the
people she works with in the athletic training program. "My colleagues,
the professors, and the athletes are so great," this Shannon says makes
it easy for her to love the athletic training major. Through her many
clinical and educational experiences she has had in the program she
feels prepared to enter the athletic training profession with
confidence. Shannon is currently the athletic trainer for San Ysidro
High school.
| Daryl Finch Athletic Trainer
Daryl
has always had a desire for treating injuries and an interest in
patient healthcare. Daryl believes the PLNU athletic training program
"is great because it provides the students with hands on experience
with a large spectrum of sports. By providing this opportunity for
experience, students are able to take ideas and principals that are
taught in the classroom and apply them to real life situations." Daryl
also likes the one on one interaction with faculty members. According
to Daryl "the program is filled with experienced professors who are
always willing to lend a helping hand."Daryl had the oppritunity to
intern with the Colorado Rapids MLS soccer team this last summer.
