Prof. Pate joined the PLNU faculty in 1989. Recent publications and scholarly work inlcude:
Awarded the Visiting Research Scholar in Wesleyan Studies for Summer 2006. “A Wesleyan Awakening to a Social, Educational, and Spiritual Consciousness of the Other: Children— Resulting in the Birth of Sunday School and a New Form of Children’s Literature.” Presented at Nazarene Theological College, Didsburg, England.
