2008 Served as outside reviewer for the University of Laverne Modern Languages Department Review.
2008 In conjunction with the CJR received a Grant from the Study Abroad office for an exploratory trip to Chiapas, Mexico. Travelled to Chiapas in July 2008.
2008 Attended the 2008 “Feria del Libro” in Madrid, Spain. Attended Lectures by several Spanish and Latin American authors.
2007 Attended The Tenth Annual Continuums of Service Conference in San Jose, Ca. sponsored by the Western Region Campus Compact Consortium.

Attended the Festival Internacional de Teatro Lationamericano, November 2005.
Attended (with student Elizabeth Warn) the Mexico Solidarity Network & United Students for Fair Trade Women’s Delegation to Chiapas, June-July 2005.
