Point Loma String Project Personnel
Gabriela Sanchez began playing the violin at the age of eight. After ten years of Suzuki training she transitioned to the viola, which she has now been playing for approximately three years. She has studied with both Michiko Byrd and Jane Frey during her thirteen years of string experience, and has participated in many string workshops. In high school she was principal violist for three years, and during her junior year in high school she began playing with the PLNU Orchestra. She considers her involvement with the orchestra over the past four years a wonderful and rewarding experience, and is honored to be principal violist this year. In addition to playing the viola, Gabriela enjoys singing with the Point Loma Singers ensemble and playing the piano.
