These newly elected student leaders, along with outgoing ASB President James Kitchin will represent PLNU at the Nazarene Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University, April 11-14. All of the newly elected student governments from each of the eight Nazarene colleges and universities in the U.S. will gather for networking, group planning and leadership training. Joining the student government delegation from Point Loma will be Dr. Gordon Golsan, vice president for Student Development; Dr. Caye Smith, associate vice president for Student Development; Dr. Brandon Hill, dean of students; and Melissa Burt-Gracik, director of Community Life and ASB advisor.
In the recent ASB elections, students also overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment that dissolves the current class council system, with the hopes of merging these resources into the newly restructured Student Congress as well as a constitutional amendment changing the position of ASB Director of Student Ministries to the ASB Director of Spiritual Life.
