PLNU donates laptop computers to pastors in Hungary

Norm Shoemaker1 004On March 31, 2007, Rev. Norm Shoemaker, director for the Center for Pastoral Leadership at Point Loma Nazarene University, held an all-day seminar for the Phase I (pioneer) District of Hungary. The event took place in eastern Hungary in the small village of Hadjuhadhaz. More than 20 youth from a nearby orphanage attended after learning that the seminar's subject was “The Christian Family.”

Rev. Shoemaker was warmly received and greatly appreciated. Host pastor Gyula Fiak reports that as a result of the teaching, his congregation has found healing through the practice of forgiveness. The pastors of the district also received laptop computers from PLNU. The pastors and churches are grateful for the generous gift and will be able to network more effectively because of them.
