Last Friday, Oct. 20, there was a reception for the new art exhibition in Keller Art Gallery called “Hand Struck.” The exhibit features the wheel-thrown ceramic work of Christina Corbin, as well as hand-built bowls from art professor Karen Sangren.
According to Sangren, there was a good showing for the reception on Friday, including guests from other institutions.
Corbin is married to Lael Corbin, one of the adjunct faculty members in the Department of Art and Design. Her life and education in England positions her as a part of a long heritage in fine pottery production.
“Hand Struck” runs from now until Nov. 10. Keller Art Gallery is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
