Parents Weekend returns to PLNU

This year’s Parents Weekend kicks off on Friday, Oct. 20 and runs late into Saturday, Oct. 21. The schedule includes campus tours, a Presidential Prayer Breakfast, afternoon Open House at all residence halls, and the opportunity to experience college life by visiting chapel, attending students’ classes, or eating meals at either the Point Break Café or in the school cafeteria.

PLNU’s theatre department will also be showcasing Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias in Salomon Theatre, and the PLNU volleyball team will be facing off against Westmont in the Golden Gymnasium on Saturday. An on-campus shuttle will be running all weekend to accommodate limited parking and transportation around the university.

Special activities on the weekend include Parent’s Panel, which is a chance to ask questions and dialogue with the Parent’s Council and faculty, Ladies’ Tea for mothers and visiting females, Spanish-Speaking Parent Group for Spanish-speaking parents to meet with faculty and staff, and Prayer Walk, an opportunity for parents to join with PLNU’s Parents Council in praying for the university, while stopping at specific locations during the walk.

All current PLNU parents, especially those of first-year students, are encouraged to visit the campus for Parents Weekend and are strongly encouraged to reserve tickets to the events as soon as possible.
