Students enjoy food and fellowship at Etiquette Dinner

PHOTOFifty-five people attended Career Services’ biannual Etiquette Dinner held Oct. 24, according to Charlie Howard, event director. The five-course Italian meal was served in Cunningham Dining Room from 5 to 7:30 p.m., with short breaks between courses to allow for conversation among guests. Miles Rottman, general manager of Campus Dining Services, presented meal etiquette and tips to students during the event.

“It was really well done,” said Howard. “Miles and his crew did a really great job. Students raved about the food.”

The evening meal consisted of Hors d’oeuvres, a family-style Italian salad, vegetable soup over polenta, a main course of chicken cacciatore, and cannoli for dessert. Career Services also sponsored door prizes and handed out an etiquette booklet for students following the meal.

Students only pay $15 for this event, according to Howard. He noted that, “It’s probably at least a $50 meal, so Sodexho is really generous on their side.”
