Dr. G.L. Forward, professor of organizational communication, was elected to the executive council of the Religious Communication Association (RCA) at its most recent business meeting in Chicago.

The membership met Nov. 15 in conjunction with the annual National Communication Association (NCA) conference. RCA, one of the larger NCA affiliate organizations, is a nonsectarian, academic society founded in 1973 by people interested in the study of all aspects of public religious communication.

Forward was elected to a three-year term as “councilor” and is one of nine members of the executive board. He previously served the organization as the Interpersonal/Organizational Division chair and is currently a member of the editorial review board for its peer-reviewed publication, The Journal of Communication and Religion.
