It was recently announced that Point Loma Nazarene University has received a $1 million donation from the Find Us Faithful Foundation. The donation will be distributed into several different areas, including the establishment of the “Lighthouse Scholarship,” and construction on a proposed fitness/workout center for students.

Additionally, part of the donation will be used to pay for a stained glass cross for Smee Hall, the university’s brand new facility that will house its School of Theology and Christian Ministry and Center for Pastoral Leadership. Smee Hall is currently under construction and is estimated to be completed in August 2008.

“We feel extremely blessed by this gift and the wonderful ways in which it will make a difference in students’ lives,” said Eric Groves, director of Development. “The Lighthouse Scholarship will provide students with much needed financial support, improved fitness facilities. Also, the gift of the stained glass cross will be a wonderful reminder of our calling to be servants wherever the Lord has placed us.”
