Annual Heritage Society Luncheon brings generations together

More than 200 members of PLNU's Heritage Society, student scholarship recipients, faculty, and staff came together for the university's 17th annual Heritage Luncheon on Friday, Feb. 15.

There was a real sense of energy and excitement in the air, as old friends reminisced and new friends fellowshipped. The expanse of generations was bridged as donors sat at the same table and talked with student scholarship winners.

President Brower spoke to the attendees and invited them to pray for the upcoming science building campaign. The theme of the luncheon was “essential pieces” with Brower adding that each contribution is essential for building a future together. And it was thrilling to celebrate the completion of 13 new scholarship and building endowments.

“The university is blessed to have a strong group of supporters like the 1200 members of the Heritage Society that have made significant individual commitments to PLNU and its students,” said Joe Watkins, vice president for external relations. “It is a rich experience for students and donors to sit together and understand the passion and dreams that each of them has. The Heritage Society Luncheon makes it possible for the university to express appreciation to new donors on an annual basis and bring previous donors together with their scholarship recipients.”
