The Point Weekly, PLNU's student newspaper, has launched an online edition. The new site includes all the content from the May 7, 2007 print edition. The site is the product of a collaboration between Steve Babbitt, PLNU Web site coordinator and Andrew Cox, online editor, with the assistance of James Giannini, news editor. Andrew will continue fine tuning the site's features and layout this summer, laying the groundwork for the site to become a regular campus fixture next semester.
In addition to expanding circulation of the print content, the new site will enable students to break away from the weekly printing schedule altogether. Plans for the future include giving students the ability to supplement articles with audio and video content and allowing readers to search archives. Eventuallly, readers will also be able to submit and read each other's comments on individual articles.
