6/20 - PLNU pitcher Andrew Bovich signed a free-agent contract with the San Diego Padres on June 19. He is reporting to camp in Peoria, Ariz. The senior lefty posted a 13-1 record last season and was part of the most successful baseball team in the university's history.
Earlier in June, PLNU's Kurt Steinhauer and Kaohi Downing were drafted by the Mets and Giants respectively.
