The following are requirements for admission to the university for the School of Education's advanced degree (M.A., Ed.S.) programs:

  • A completed application for admission
  • $40 non-refundable matriculation fee
  • Official transcripts showing completion of a bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college/university (masters degree required for Ed.S. program)
  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative upper division undergraduate GPA (waived if candidate already has advanced degree from a regionally accredited college/university or a teaching/service credential)
  • Two completed recommendation forms from appropriate individuals who have knowledge of the applicant's character and professional performance
  • Appointment with appropriate faculty advisor to complete program plan sheet (contact specific university location for assistance)  

The following are requirements for eligibility to the School of Education's advanced degree (M.A., Ed.S.) programs:

  • A writing sample responding to the following questions (each answer should be one-half page in length): 
    • Describe your professional and career goals.
    • Describe the experiences that helped you determine these goals.  You may want to include multi-cultural and professional experiences.
    • Explain why you are applying to a Christian graduate program.
  • GRE or MAT scores (waived if candidate already has advanced degree from a regionally accredited college/university) 

The following are additional requirements for candidates also pursuing a credential embedded in an M.A./Ed.S. program:

  • CBEST passing score report
  • CTC Certificate of Clearance or other CTC credential
  • Evidence of pre-requisite credential (excluding PPS credential program)
