The following are requirements for admission to the university for the School of Education's advanced degree (M.A., Ed.S.) programs:

- $40 non-refundable matriculation fee
- Official transcripts showing completion of a bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college/university (masters degree required for Ed.S. program)
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative upper division undergraduate GPA (waived if candidate already has advanced degree from a regionally accredited college/university or a teaching/service credential)
- Two completed recommendation forms from appropriate individuals who have knowledge of the applicant's character and professional performance
- Appointment with appropriate faculty advisor to complete program plan sheet (contact specific university location for assistance)

- CBEST passing score report
- CTC Certificate of Clearance or other CTC credential
- Evidence of pre-requisite credential (excluding PPS credential program)
