Common Knowledge Bookstore

The Bookstore is owned by Point Loma Nazarene University.  It is an organization designed to support the students, faculty, and staff of PLNU in all their academic, professional, and recreational needs.  The PLNU Bookstore is divided into different departments that specialize in various retail areas:

  • General Books
  • General Office, School and Art Supplies
  • Collegiate Merchandise and Clothing
  • Dorm Room Supplies
  • Gifts and Collectables
  • Surf Gear & Accessories
  • Music
  • Express Store (Food, Beverages, Gourmet Coffee, etc.)
  • Computers and Computer Supplies
PLNU is an extraordinary university and the Bookstore here can be an extraordinary resource for you during and after your tenure on campus.  Knowing how to use the Bookstore can save you time, money, and stress.  We welcome you as our guest and are here to assist you in any needs you may have.

Location


The Common Knowledge Bookstore is located on the first floor of the Nicholson Commons building next to Point Break Café.


Bookstore Hours


Monday-Thursday  8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday        8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday     11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
(Closed on Sundays, holidays and breaks)  


Express Store Hours


Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday    7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday      11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
(Closed on Sundays, holidays and breaks)  


Special Back-To-School Hours


Monday – Thursday of the first week of classes, the Bookstore & Express Store hours are open to 7 p.m.

Important Tips

  • Save your receipt, no returns or exchanges without the receipt.
  • During the first week of classes, shop before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. to avoid long lines.
  • Your student I.D. is required for all textbook purchases.
