Personal & Professional Interests


Dr. Daniel Jenkins graduated from Pacific Christian College in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Bible. He went on to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Brigham Young University. Dr. Jenkins became licensed as a clinical psychologist in 1988. He has been teaching at Christian undergraduate colleges since 1987 and has been on full-time faculty at PLNU since 2003. He is also the Director of Lighthouse Psychological Services in Mission Valley.

Dr. Jenkins' specialties include psychotherapy for clinical disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as family and relational issues. He has been married to his wife, Elizabeth, for 24 years and has four children, three of whom are current PLNU students. Dr. Jenkins enjoys playing racquetball and frequently challenges his students to the game. Currently, he remains undefeated.
