Incident Reporting

The PLNU Department of Public Safety investigates campus-related incidents and notifies the San Diego Police Department when required. The university strongly encourages victims and witnesses to report all crimes and incidents to the Department of Public Safety at once, regardless of their nature. Prompt reporting of suspicious activity will deter crime and prevent future harm to the campus community. If an individual's actions are out of character and you become suspicious, call the department of Public Safety and a Community Service or Public Safety Officer will assess the situation and take the appropriate action.

Crimes occurring on the PLNU campus can be reported in person or by calling the Department of Public Safety at 619.849.2525 at any time of the day or night. Crimes occurring off campus should be reported to the San Diego Police Department at 619.531.2000.

In addition to the reporting of incidents to the Public Safety Department, the following contacts are campus authorities to which reports may also be made. Information from these reports will also be used for the purpose of making timely warnings of criminal offenses as deemed necessary.

  • Director of Public Safety
  • Vice President of Student Development
  • Dean of Students/ Residential Life
  • Director of Community Life
  • Athletic Director
  • PLNU Athletic Coaches
