Information for On-Line Vehicle Violation Appeals
Please read the following information and then complete the
Vehicle Violation Appeal Form
. To qualify for on-line citation appeal, you must: - be a currently registered PLNU student, faculty or staff member.
- have a current email address.
- have your vehicle registered with the PLNU Department of Public Safety.
How to appeal your citation: - Citations must be paid prior to the appeal process. In the event the appeal is granted, the fine amount will be credited back to applicant. Citations may be appealed within ten days of the issue date on the citation.
- All citation appeals are to be submitted in writing, either on-line or using the paper form -- forms may be obtained at the Office of Public Safety during business hours.
- All relevant facts should be stated clearly.
- When you have completed the form, click "Submit". By doing this, you are affirming that you are the person whose information appears on the form and that all information and facts are correct and true to the best of your ability.
- You will receive notification by email when your appeal has been processed. If you do not receive notification, you may send an email to TrafficViolationsAppeals@pointloma.edu to inquire about the status of your appeal.
- The Traffic Appeal Ticket Committee will review all ticket appeals. Decisions by the committee are final.
Invalid Excuses: - Ignorance of the parking/traffic regulations.
- Lack of parking spaces.
- Arriving late or after dark.
- Tight schedule.
- Bad weather.
- Another person driving vehicle.
- Parked illegally for a few minutes.
