ARTICLES
The databases below are especially helpful for accessing articles and citations in your discipline.

Academic Search Premier - large interdisciplinary database, with much fulltext content
Education Full Text - comprehensive coverage of education fields and topics
ERIC (EBSCO)  - an online digital library of education research and information
ERIC (WilsonWeb) - same education database as above, but with different interface
JSTOR- fulltext journal articles, including older issues of many journals
OmniFile Full Text Mega - multi-disciplinary database, with much full-text content  
PsycINFO - a database of abstracts of psychological literature from the 1800s to the present

Also try Google Scholar to search for scholarly articles.


BOOKS
The databases NetLibrary Collection and Oxford Reference Online have full-text books online.

Check Phineas, Ryan Library's online catalog, for additional books available in the library.


INTERLIBRARY LOAN
Use InterLibrary Loan (LINK+ and ILLiad) to request books and articles not owned by Ryan Library.

California Dept. of Education - A great resource relating to education in California.

Education World - A good resource for educators.

The Educator's Reference Desk - A resource for lesson plans and links to online education information.
The Gateway to 21st Century Skills 
- A wealth of educational resources and materials.
Internet Schoolhouse - A good guide to educational resources found on the internet.
Kathy Shrock's Guide for Educators - A categorized list of sites useful for enhancing curriculum and professional growth.

Google Advanced - provides more options for your search strategy
Google Scholar - Search for scholarly articles.
Google Book Search - Search for books on your topic.

CITATION HELP
Endnote is a Web-based tool for managing and citing references in papers and creating bibliographies.  EndNote has numerous citation styles including APA, MLA, and Chicago (Turabian).  EndNote is available to current members of the PLNU community.
