School of Education Certificate Programs READING CERTIFICATE (13 units) The School of Education's Reading Certificate Program is a graduate program for teachers interested in advanced level professional development in the teaching of reading that has a significant impact on student learning and is offered in Arcadia, Bakersfield, and Mission Valley.
This program is ideal for:
- Master of Arts in Education candidates with a concentration in Teaching and Learning or Special Education, and
- Experienced teachers seeking educational and salary advancement.
Upon successful completion of this graduate course of study and three years of teaching, candidates may apply to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) for the Reading Certificate.
