Educational Specialist

The Educational Specialist Degree is a post-masters program designed for experienced teachers, counselors, and administrators. A total of 32 semester hours balanced between course requirements and active research is required. At the conclusion, students take a comprehensive examination or an additional three-unit course in preparation to pursue a terminal degree. The sixth year program of the Educational Specialist Degree may be accepted by other institutions as applicable toward the doctoral degree. The Professional Administrative Services Credential may be earned in conjunction with this degree.

The Educational Leadership faculty are currently re-evaluating the curriculum of the Educational Specialist degree and as of August 19, 2009 are not admitting new students into the program.  Please contacxt the program coordinator, Dr. Gary McGuire, garymcguire@pointloma.edufor further information.
