Administrative Services Credentials:
Preliminary Administrative Services Credential
(24  units)

The Prelminary Administrative Services Credential prepares school administrators to establish and sustain a vital learning community that supports powerful teaching and learning.  This program provides the 24 credential units foundational to the Master of Arts Degree in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership.

This credential program is ideal for:

Public and private school educators who seek cutting edge graduate study focused on student learning results and supportive relationships.

Program Distinctions:
The School of Education offers the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and Master of Arts Degree.

Recent graduates and area school districts highly recommend this leadership program to colleagues for its dual emphasis on academic excellence and moral ethical standards.

This is an evidence-based program. Candidates develop a plan for their graduate level coursework and fieldwork, building on the evidence of prior knowledge, skills, and dispositions that they bring into the program. This program is aligned with the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs).  Much of the fieldwork is embedded in the coursework.

GED686:  Fieldwork and Practicum (6units)

Once the student receives an administrative position, he/she enrolls in the Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential program. 

 

Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential
(6 units)

 

The program is designed to facilitate the induction and professional development of beginning administrators and fulfill the CCTC requirements for the Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential. The program is a collaborative endeavor between the candidate, employing district and the university. The 6 unit program offers options and choices among learning opportunities based on needs, interests and career goals.

 

This credential program is ideal for:

Public and private school educators who seek cutting edge graduate study focused on student learning results and supportive relationships.

 

Program Distinctions:

The fieldwork program is based on a self-assessment of the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and interests and is individualized to fit the specific needs of each candidate. During the program the candidate has an opportunity to work in a personalized mentoring relationship, engage in reflection and receive guidance and support while undertaking his/her new leadership role.
