Special Interests

Dr. Conklin enjoys the teaching experience abroad. In her SOC 490 Special Studies of Sociology class she has taken students to Israel, Korea, and Japan. Students state that the experience of traveling abroad with Dr. Conklin is a life changing experience. With hand picked tour guides, Dr. Conklin’s class sees sights not available on a regular tour. Students experience the present as well as life through the ages.

Travel is not exclusive to the class room experience for Mary Conklin. She has toured Denmark, Norway, Hong Kong, Singapore, Puerto Rico and traveled through western Europe. She often times lectures and teaches along the way.
