Missionary Dan Hopkins is working on the Caribbean island of Dominica. He hosted the first LoveWorks team to that country last year. He has asked that another team of PLNU students return in May. Here is his email:

You are invited to join us in the Caribbean’s “Garden of Eden.” Dominica is a lush, green, tropical paradise with 365 rivers, lakes and waterfalls, 4,000 foot mountain peaks and awe-inspiring views. It is also a place to grow spiritually while making an impact on the lives of young people across the island.

Ministry opportunities include hosting high school and young adult retreats, outreach activities in various villages, compassionate ministries and work & witness. Some of the various ministry skills utilized include music, drama, dance, puppets, balloon art and recreation. Work & witness will include everything from painting to light construction. When we get tired we’ll retreat to a secluded beach or hike to a waterfall for a swim.

Our approach to ministry is holistic. Our desire is that as you give yourself in ministry you will be touched body, soul and spirit by the presence of God.
