This email is from Denise Anderson, who serves as the Coordinator in the Caribbean Region for Compassionate Ministries. She has extended an invitation to a PLNU LoveWorks team to join her in the Spanish speaking country of the Dominican Republic. Here is her email:

Compassionate Ministries in the Dominican Republic offers the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of different child development projects. There are over 500 children in different projects in the city of Santo Domingo. Last year, it was reported by the Dominican Today that over 2 million children in this country suffered from hunger. This number has increased in the past two years. Many of the NCM Child Development programs not only feed the children but also have a holistic plan for helping the whole child (and family). For a few weeks during the summer of 2008, you can be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ by helping these children to have opportunities to better their lives. Make a difference in the lives of the Dominican people!
