All students commit to regular training sessions that involves meeting with students from Hawaii, as well as others who are aware of the unique challenges of ministry in the islands. Any suggestions or ideas for training are always welcome. One key aspect of this training is regular communication with the host church.

Communication and Prayer…

Before the student arrives, he/she will need to be in weekly contact with his/her pastor and future church family. This can be to discuss any and all issues related to the upcoming summer including responsibilities, expectations, living situations and any other relevant issues. It can also simply be to get to know families in the church and what is happening in the church. It is important that the host church and the student be committed to regular communication.
