Communication and Prayer…

We have found that the most successful and positive student/church relationships happen in the context of pre-arrival communication. If the pastor and the church can be intentional in communicating with the student about what he or she will be doing, weekly events in the church, information about church families, etc., then the student can “hit the ground running.”

Preparation of a Host Family…

The host home is a significant part of the ministry, and needs to be a safe, healthy environment for the student. The church agrees to provide the student with housing and meals for the summer. This has sometimes been with the pastor, and often is with a lay family in the church.
